Savannah is an adventurer at heart, always looking for new opportunities. After graduating from MidAmerica Nazarene University with a degree in Accounting and Business, Savannah went to work in public accounting, doing taxes and helping clients create and manage their personal and business financial plans. “Accounting was a great field,” Savannah said, “but it failed to utilize a big piece of what makes me who I am: my creativity.” With that in mind, she took her unique skill set, her keen eye for detail, and her passion for people, out of the cubicle and into the community.
Savannah began her new adventure in the mountains of Estes Park, Colorado, coordinating weddings and special events for the YMCA of the Rockies. Energized with new ideas, great connections, and a bold vision, Savannah moved back to Kansas City to pursue her own dream of creating something extraordinary—Volo Events.
Savannah’s experiences bring a fresh perspective and unique skill set to the events industry. “I am many things,” says Savannah, “a dancer, an adventurer, a musician, a planner, a traveler, an accountant, a teacher, a performer, a coffee fanatic—but above all, I’m a dreamer and a doer. At Volo Events, my team and I are committed to helping you discover and create your dream event!”
Lindsay is a planner at heart–always looking for her next event or trip to plan. She is a part-time travel Agent through R & R Travel Agency, specializing in Disney and Caribbean vacations as well as destination weddings. She loves to sing, dance, travel to new places, and explore new foods. She is a Disney fanatic, crazy about palm trees, Christmas, pumpkin spice, peppermint, and coffee: but first and foremost Lindsay is a wife and mom. She and her husband (Leon) welcomed their beautiful baby girl on September 6th, 2016 and they couldn’t be happier to have their little family of two grow into three!
Lindsay attended MidAmerica Nazarene University where she met both Leon and her business partner (Savannah) in the theater department. After completing her degree in Corporate Communication and Business she was hired on as a Client Communications Specialist for a fantastic company. Although blessed with this amazing career path right out of college, she knew her propensity for dreaming (and fulfilling dreams) would not be fulfilled while tied down in such a position long-term. Striving for adventure, variety, and creativity, Lindsay found it was time to leave her cubicle desk job behind.
As she considered her future, she thought of the many hours spent planning her perfect wedding. She knew one day she would meet her prince charming and plan the wedding of her dreams for real. Lindsay realized she desired to bring those same dreams to life for others. Volo Events was the perfect career to match her love for people, her on-the-move lifestyle, and her desire to plan and create amazing experiences for others.
